Walsh Development is the title given to the section of the group dedicated to the pursuit and delivery of development opportunities of all kinds, across all sectors both here in Ireland and overseas. Some of these will be wholly-owned by Walsh Group, others will be owned in partnership with others.

The most obvious association with the word development is perhaps construction. We currently have approximately twenty projects at various stages of completion. These projects have a combined potential market value close to one billion euro.

Five such projects reside in Cork city and county, one in East Cork, two in West Cork and two in the city centre. At various stages of the Planning process, all five are “bubbling around” the surface and whilst some have already emerged into daylight, all five will have emerged fully before the end of 2007. These five projects are both residential and mixed and have a combined potential market value of close to €200 million euro.

Under this heading we also include our participation in other sectors – both in Ireland and overseas. Our interests include the hospitality industry, the health and leisure industry, the electronics industry and the food industry. We also have interest in property of all types in the UK, in Spain, in Central Europe and in North America.
